TIFIE Announces Organizational Changes to Meet Rapid Growth in the Democratic Republic of Congo
TIFIE Humanitarian announces promotions to insure continued growth and success. Mr. Andrews will serve in the capacity of Chief Development Officer while Mr. Shepherd accepts the assignment to serve fulltime as TIFIEs Chief Operating Officer.
SPANISH FORK, UT, July 03, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- TIFIE Humanitarian announces the promotion of Mr. Michael Andrews and Mr. Ryan Shepherd. In order to insure continued growth and success Mr. Andrews will serve in the capacity of Chief Development Officer while Mr. Shepherd accepts the assignment to serve fulltime as TIFIEs Chief Operating Officer.
Previously Mr. Shepherd served as a shared resource responsible for developing the operations for both TIFIE and Provo Craft & Noveltys newly formed subsidiary, GOAL0. While Mr. Shepherds transition to TIFIE leaves a void at GOAL0, Mr. Shepherds history with TIFIE is critical.
"We are thrilled that both Michael and Ryan have accepted this assignment to serve alongside Congo Director General, Mr. Bernard Balibuno. Their combined efforts have contributed to the success enjoyed by TIFIE Humanitarian. With Michael and Ryan accepting and serving in their expanded roles we retain continuity in leadership and carry on without disruption to operations and the organizations culture," said TIFIE Chairman Robert Workman.
"In light of this economy and tighter policies governing philanthropic causes we as humanitarians must exert greater effort and attention to understanding new rules and regulations, while effectively communicating our mission and results to TIFIE supporters. In my expanded role I look forward to further evangelizing and meeting the goals and milestones for our cause," said Mr. Andrews.
Mr. Shepherd said, "I am honored to have the opportunity to concentrate my efforts in TIFIE. Over the course of my tenure I have built meaningful relationships with the local Congolese. We have worked through challenges and celebrated successes. It is a privilege and reward to continue serving these great people on a more focused basis."
In a relatively short period time TIFIE leadership has enjoyed marked progress. Some of the successes include:
- Fourfold growth in the trucking business.
- Brick making growing from 2,000 units in January to record 23,000 units in June.
- Complete renovation of orphanage with security, health, and education enhancements.
- Construction of a fully equipped school that provides a high quality of education to over 250 local Congolese children.
Enhancing the TIFIE organization with focused leadership will result in broader impact across global initiatives.
