NEW FILM FEATURES POLICE TRAINING TO STOP MASS SHOOTINGS
Documentary film showcasing police training for shootings such as those at Columbine High School and Virginia Tech now released. A unique inside look into the world of SWAT. A first-hand account of the Trolley Square shooting from one of the key officers involved.

/Utah News Articles/ - NORTH SALT LAKE, UT, January 31, 2008 - The newly released DVD "Shots Fired" gives a never before seen look behind the training law enforcement engage in to prepare for what they term active-shooters, or in other words, individuals who indiscriminately shoot innocent people in public spaces. These kinds of events include the shootings at Columbine High School and Virginia Tech. "This documentary film has broad appeal," says director and producer, David Burnell. "It is of interest to those who want to know what is being done by law enforcement to protect the innocent from the insane. It is also a great tool for officers who would like to see what is being done elsewhere to prepare for these increasing events."

One of the featured stories in the film, told by a key SWAT officer involved, is the Trolley Square shooting that took place in Salt Lake City, February 12, 2007. This event has become a model for effective preparation, rapid response and heroic determination in ending a horrific shooting that could have been even more tragic and deadly.

"Shots Fired," presented by OPSGEAR , is available for sale on DVD at www.opsgear.com and authorized dealers worldwide.
