MultiLing's Rapid Expansion Prompts the Acquisition of Munich-based Localize-IT
MultiLing Corporation, a rapidly expanding Utah-based language services and technology company, officially acquired the growing translation company Localize-IT on February 1 in Munich, Germany.

/Utah News Articles/ - PROVO, UT, February 15, 2006 - MultiLing Corporation, a rapidly expanding Utah-based language services and technology company, officially acquired the growing translation company Localize-IT on February 1 in Munich, Germany. The highly anticipated deal not only increases MultiLing's European presence but also provides the company a strategic outpost from which to better serve its international clientele. The new offices, located in Munich's quiet southern suburbs not far from its historic center, mark the company's most recent foray into international territory and demonstrate its growing popularity as a premier language services company.

"Through this exciting acquisition, we will be better able to extend MultiLing's influence throughout the European market," said Michael Sneddon, company president and CEO. "Additionally, our European headquarters will allow us to better accommodate the increasing demand that we've observed over the past several years."

MultiLing's new German headquarters - renamed MultiLing Deutschland GmbH - will feature state-of-the-art conferencing technologies as well as the company's own revolutionary in-house translation software known as Fortis, which according to industry insiders should be released commercially later this year. Company executives expect the new European headquarters will not only increase MultiLing's reputation among its European clients but will also position it to further expand into Asia. Company strategists have already begun developing tentative plans for future expansion into Japan.

Founded in 1999, Localize-IT has experienced continuous growth and has developed into a capable and reputable translation vendor. Rolf Blum, founder of the acquired German translation company, has since been named MultiLing's managing director of European operations.

According to Sneddon, MultiLing executives had been carefully monitoring its growth for several years and recently decided the time was right to proceed with the acquisition. They have since felt very welcomed in the thriving metropolis of nearly 1.5 million people, Sneddon said.

MultiLing Deutschland GmbH will employ staff members from all over the world, with native translation teams specializing in French, German, Spanish and several eastern European languages.
